Tips from the TP&W RR - The Electron Road
Chuck Murray, the Senior Electronics Effects Engineer for The Realroad, is fast becoming as well known in the model train world as he is for his contributions to the television industry. Chuck is the creator of Bidirectional Transcoaxial Communication (better known as BTC or simply Over -The-Coax) technology as well as many other devices and standards in use in the television industry. He is the creator of most of the television control equipment used in the American Embassies throughout the world. But now, he has a lot more fun designing unusual electronic devices for creating realism in model railroads. His TP&W Railroad is a uniquely automated railroad incorporating the latest in electronic wizardry. It is operated solely by a large impressive control console on-line with the Realroad's digitally controlled, eight track "Power Wizard" power supply and seven of the "Whistlestop II" Train Decelerators. Amazing as it seems, there are no track sensors required in the automatic operation of the TP&W. This will be his page for answering electronic questions and offering advice and help for anyone with electronic questions or seeking realistic operation of their railroad.Contact him with your questions or problems at : |
